Primal Chocolate Pudding

I used to eat “sugar-free” pudding thinking it was a healthy treat. It’s low-calorie and sugar free…so what’s wrong with it? Well, if you like to eat a bunch of chemicals that are slowing breaking down your body and food you can’t even pronounce…then nothing! But that doesn’t mean you can’t get your pudding fix.

A friend of mine passed this pudding recipe along to me and I have to admit, at first, I was skeptical. Especially since my plan was to test it on my kids. But then I ate it myself and I fell in love with this pudding. Plus, my kids gobbled it up. Just don’t tell them what is in it…it’s our little secret.

Chocolate Avocado Pudding

Mash up the avocados (don’t let the kids see this step) and add above ingredients into a processor (I use the Magic Bullet) and blend until desired consistency. There should be no lumps, if so keep blending. I will add only half the almond milk at first, then blend, and then add the second half. This helps make sure the avocados puree smooth. Make sure to use ripe and soft avocados too. Scoop and serve.

The best thing about this pudding recipe is it can be adjusted easily to fit your taste buds. Some like their pudding thick (just use less almond milk), others like their chocolate pudding dark (use more cocoa). Have fun and experiment till you find the version that is right for you…and your kids!

    How many servings does the recipe above make? Do you have the nutrition facts for this recipe or the other recipes? Thank you! I look forward to making this soon.

      It makes about 3-4 servings. I do not have calorie info. I am looking into possibly adding a plug-in for our recipes that will calculate this info. Since my new healthy living journey, I have not counted calories really at all. I have found, through research and experience, that not all calories are created equal and if you are eating real food and the right kinds…calories can be deceiving. I’m not saying not to watch your calories, just know what you are eating. I hope that helps for now. Soon I will have this info available so others can learn about the specifics and nutritional values of the foods I recommend straight from my site. Thanks for following us.

        Yes, I was thinking along the same lines as you when I posted my question. But the serving size is very helpful; thank you! I can always input the ingredients into another recipe calculator online, if need be. I had a friend make this and she really enjoyed it! I hope to make it soon.

          Great…the serving might change if you add less or more almond milk too. Let me know how it turns out…Next time I’m gonna add some Almond Butter to mine and make a chocolate pb mix…yum!

    Morning meditation done, joulnaring done but missed out on yoga, I rearranged my schedule to fit some other things and it just threw my whole day off, towards the evening I just kept thinking about yoga and wanted to at least do a ten minutes of it before bed but I was just too tired. So far this is the only day I’ve mised during the challenge so moving on from this day and looking forward to my next class : )
